Hardware Massive CEE - how was it?

400 guests, 20+ speakers from 8 different countries, 40+ startups in demo room, 8 amazing workshops, keynotes and discussion panels, 12 pitches, hundreds of connections made and 1 petrol canister spilled on stage while pitching. This is last edition of Hardware Massive CEE in numbers and we want to say huge THANK YOU to all participants, sponsors, partners and all the others involved! Hardware Massive is YOU!

We started this years Hardware Massive with series of workshops in newly opened Google Campus and Aviva Beach Bar. Our Mentors shared their knowledge in such areas as: legal side of creating startup between Poland and USA, models of hardware distribution, shipping and fulfillment, prototyping or making successful crowdfunding campaign.

Participants had also a chance to learn about Amazon Launchpad or SOSv programmes directly from the source: Anurag Khilnani and Alan Clayton willingly shared all information and insight tips about their companies.

On the second day we opened official part of Hardware Massive in beautiful Reduta Banku Polskiego, where guests have been welcomed by Arkley’s COO - Maciej Frankowicz.

Following keynotes and discussion panels included our speakers from San Francisco, India, Germany, France, Italy, England, Poland, Czech Republic, Ukraine - for one day we turned Warsaw into worldwide class stage with speakers talking about main subject of the conference: From prototype to IPO.

The best vibe though was the Demo Room, where you could check out over 40 startups coming from all over CEE, including some of our portfolio companies: ZMorph, Lovely and BIVROST. Which such an amount of innovation per square meter some people just couldn’t leave the room!

We closed our day programme with pitching session featuring 12 best, selected hardware startups from CEE. Founders had only 5 minutes to present their business and answer questions from jury. Here it goes to our bright jurors: Bashar Aboudaoud from Brinc.io, Raph Crouan from Startupbootcamp IoT London, Marcin Hejka & Karol Szubstarski from - Intel Capital, Jakub Probola from Hubraum and Piotr Wąsowski from Arkley VC.

The winner of the Hardware Massive CEE pitching competition is: StethoMe - big congratulations one more time!

But that was not the end of Hardware Massive CEE! We threw the best afterparty in this part of Europe on the 38th floor of the most beautiful building in Warsaw - Spire! Full of vo… networking and great music.

Hardware Massive CEE would not be Hardware Massive if it wasn’t for the involvement of our amazing speakers and partners.
